摘要:Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) is considered as one of promising ra-dio access techniques for visible light commu-nications (VLC) in next-generation wirelesscommunications systems. In order to providetheoretical support for designing VLC-NO-MA, we derive its analytic expressions for thesymbol error rate (SER). Specifically, NOMAis first incorporated with appropriate VLC toestablish a VLC-NOMA framework. After-wards, mathematical expressions of the SERfor the VLC-NOMA are developed. Moreover,numerical results are provided carefully todemonstrate that the proposed VLC-NOMAscheme outperforms than state-of-the-art or-thogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) one in terms of SER performance.Finally, relationships between the SER perfor-mance and the number of users, power alloca-tion coefficient and semi-angle are well inves-tigated, which can give us a scientific guide todevise the VLC-NOMA system for achievingbetter SER performance.
