High Quality Audio Object Coding Framework Based on Non-Negative Matrix Factorization

摘要:Object-based audio coding is themain technique of audio scene coding. It caneffectively reconstruct each object trajecto-ry, besides provide sufficient flexibility forpersonalized audio scene reconstruction. Somore and more attentions have been paidto the object-based audio coding. However,existing object-based techniques have poorsound quality because of low parameter fre-quency domain resolution. In order to achievehigh quality audio object coding, we proposea new coding framework with introducingthe non-negative matrix factorization (NMF)method. We extract object parameters withhigh resolution to improve sound quality, andapply NMF method to parameter coding toreduce the high bitrate caused by high resolu-tion. And the experimental results have shownthat the proposed framework can improve thecoding quality by 25%, so it can provide a bet-ter solution to encode audio scene in a moreflexible and higher quality way.
