摘要:This article considers three critical elements of comprehension. The first element is Reading to Students where listeners expand their comprehension with the support of a more experienced reader. The second element is Independent Reading where students have the opportunity to read books of their own choice. Through choice, students experience engagement with the books they read. The third element is Instruction where students participate in literature circles. This instructional experience allows for groups of students to develop complex interpretations of text.
