摘要：This paper aims to give a detailed description of idioms used by Granny Liu based on the two English versions of Hong Lou Meng and analyze their contrasts from three aspects:the distinctive guiding strategies and methods,the use of words and the stylistic features;meanwhile the different effects will be analyzed as well.Hopefully,readers can get a broader view of the major features of the two translators and their works.
