摘要：Tianzhu(, Gzi) is a kind of the Tibetan’ favorite accessory. The perception holds that Tianzhu(, Gzi bead) has the function of exorcising evil spirits, adding happiness and even turning calamities into blessings. Where does Tianzhu(, Gzi) come from? There has been no accepted answer until today. Very little attention has been paid on the medicinal value of Tianzhu( Gzi). This paper mainly introduces and analyzes the application of Tianzhu(, Gzi) in Tibetan medicine, the source of the real Tianzhu, diascerning the new one from the old one, the chemical composition, the processing technology and its character.
