摘要:Borrowing the methods and findings of Janice Radway’s study in the relationship between audience and texts, this thesis takes a group of English majors (all female) in Guangdong Ocean University (GDOU) as a sample, analyzes their habit of reading romantic fiction in order to reveal that those romantic stories play a key role in shaping reader’s self-identity during college time.
