摘要：English idioms, as the quintessence of the English language, are vivid, terse and comprehensive expressions refined and sanctified through long time use by the native speakers. The nicety understanding and translation of idioms is the important part in translating. In the thesis, though the discussion of the correspondence between English and Chinese idioms, I summarize some methods of translating English idioms into Chinese.
