摘要：“TheActionPlanforBuildingWorld-ClassUniversitiesandDisciplines”isasignificantplaninthedevelopmentofChinahighereducation,anditoffersopportunitiesandchallengesforthedisciplineofforeignlanguageandliterature.Bymeansofliteraturereview,thispaperdiscussestheconnotationofworld-classuniversityanddiscipline,andtheconnotationanddevelopmentstrategiesofworld-classforeignlanguageandliteraturediscipline,soastogivesomeenlightenmenttothebuildingofworld-classuniversitiesanddisciplines,andthedevelopmentofforeignlanguageandliteraturediscipline.Onthebasisofreviewingrelevantresearchbothathomeandabroad,thisstudyfirstpointsoutthatworldclassuniversityinvolvesworld-classstudents,teachersandresearchers,academicresearch,universitymanagementandsocialservices,amongwhichstudents,faculty,andresearcharethecorecomponents.Second,thisstudyclaimsthatworld-classdisciplineismainlyembodiedinthequalityoftalents,research,facultyandservices,whilefirst-echelondisciplinemanagementprovidesthesupportofsystemand
