A Brief Talk about Some of Translation Skills Used in the Two Chinese Versions of Rip Van Winkle

摘要：Rip Van Winkle is one of the short novels written in the earliest American history.Its author Washington Irving(1783-1859)is celebrated as the father of American literature.The novel has strong local flavor and romantic conceit.This paper will analyze thetranslation technique of Linshu and Wanzi,Yuning’s versions.It will take some examples to analyze the translation techniques of twoversions based on the translations of Linshu and Wan Zi,Yu Ning.
